Phyllis Nanette Mumert

Phyllis Mumert, of Plymouth, MN (formerly of St. Anthony Village), died peacefully surrounded by her 5 daughters on October 6, 2024, at the age of 95. Phyllis was born in Sioux City, Iowa, and married the love of her life, Robert Mumert, in August of 1949. She attended the University of Iowa and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Interior Design. Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert Mumert, and son-in-law, Dan Medin. Phyllis is survived by 5 daughters: Kathryn (Don) Hollinger, Carolyn (Dale) Bossen, Janet Medin, Peggy (Roger) Ledeboer, and Mary Mumert, along with 9 grandchildren: Rob (DeeDee) Bossen, Sarah (Dan) Marek, Jay Bossen, Angela (Steven) Newman, Renee (Chris) Scott, Deidre (Matt) Sisterman, Brett (Michelle) Medin, Jon (Molly) Medin, Lindsey (Tom) Hammerschmidt, and 14 great-grandchildren. Phyllis enjoyed traveling, golfing, music, art, quilting, being a girl scout leader, family times at Lake Ida, and her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a 73-year member of P.E.O.
A private family service will be held in the coming weeks.
