William Boyce Murr Jr (age 63) born August 14, 1961, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2025.

Bill, as he was affectionately known, was a friend to anyone who knew him, and will be remembered for his contagious laughter, joking, and quick wittedness. He enjoyed cooking, spending time outdoors, and farming. He was a proud Loudon High School alumni. He was an avid NASCAR, college football, and hockey fan, being a proud supporter and member of the Knoxville Ice Bears community for 20 years. He spent his later years serving as an off ice official goal judge for the Southern Professional Hockey League. Bill was most proud of the 30+ years he spent working for Family Brands in Lenoir City and most recently his time working as service manager for East Tennessee's Matlock Tire Service and Auto Repair.

Bill was preceded in death by his father William Boyce Murr Sr. He is survived by his daughter Miranda Rhea Murr; wife Marilyn Rhea Murr; sister Gail Murr; mother Shirley Murr Dugan; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm. Tuesday, July 15th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tony Curtis officiating. A private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Knoxville Ice Bears Foundation. Click Funeral Home, 109 Walnut Street in Lenoir City is in charge of arrangements.
