David M. Ross age 66 of Lenoir City peacefully went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, September 12, 2025. David was a devoted and loving husband, son, uncle, brother, and coach. He loved God and his family deeply. David was a member of Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church. He adored coaching his nephew's baseball teams Rebels (Garrett) and Bluejays (Paden). He would reflect on those memories very often. He proudly served in the United States Army and one of his proudest moments was standing corner guard during the Carter inauguration. His favorite pastimes included taking care of his Beagles, fishing and watching birds while setting on his front porch. David traveled and lived in many places before settling down in Tennessee over 25 years ago to be closer to his Dad. He married Carla (Norris) Ross at the age of 47 after being neighbors for over 6 years. They were happily married for 19 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Owen David Ross; mother, Sandra Rosenberg; sisters, Cecelia Johnson and Becky Mabry; nephew, Isaac Johnson, and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife, Carla (Norris) Ross; beloved step-mother, Ruby (Rowell) Ross; sisters: Jennifer Carlson, Liz Braukmann (Billy), and Porsche Shantz (Pat); brother, Ray Shantz (Bev); nephews: Garrett Norris (Natalie), Paden Norris, Bobby Burchfield (Kayla), David May, David Burchfield, Matt (Priscilla), and Jacob; nieces and nephews: Zoe Haigler, Hannah Carlson, Aurora McCann, Sara Mabry, Matt Frey "Priscilla", Jacob Carlson, Sean Mabry, and Rory McCann; many great-nieces and great-nephews, and special friends, Roy and Jennifer Williams.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, September 16th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Jason Brookshire officiating. We will then proceed to Loudon County Memorial Gardens for graveside services. Serving as pallbearers: Garrett Norris, Paden Norris, Bobby Burchfield, Austin Ward, and Dale Scarbrough.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vaughn Chapel Baptist Church in Lenoir City, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriner's Hospital which were all very special to David.
