William "Bill" F. Myers, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:00 PM, at OSF ST. Anthony Hospital. He was born on September 29, 1937, in Savannah, IL, to Charles and Bernice Myers. He married Bonnie M. Sublett on April 25, 1962. Bill is a United States Air Force veteran. He retired from Fairbanks Morse in Beloit, WI in 2002, as a machinist. Bill loved to farm and grew a garden up to his last day. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was good with his hands and did a lot of DIY home projects. He always had a joke to make someone smile and laugh.
He is survived by son, Karl (Cindy) Myers; daughters, Teresa Smith and Lisa (Hideyuki) Hague; brother, Charles Myers; sisters, Joan (Prem) Singh and Susan (Steve) Crawford; many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Bonnie M. Myers; sons, Kerry Van Helden and Kevin Myers; and daughter, Yvonne Vasquez.
Family, friends, and others are invited to Honquest Family Funeral Home-Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL 61111, on Sunday, July 7, 2024 from 1:00 to 3:00pm to reminisce and honor the life of Bill with his family.
