William E. "Bill" Noblett

William E. "Bill" Noblett, 89, of Newburgh, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Primrose. He was born July 1, 1935 in Red Bird, Missouri to the late Clarence and Ellen Noblett.
Bill was a loving family man and mentor to many, he is survived by his daughter, Carol (Mike) Collier-Smith of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; son, Kent (Michele) Noblett of Evansville; grandchildren, Leslie (Josh) Day, Matt (Brittany) Smith, Cole Collier, Adam Noblett, Kady Collier, and Nate Noblett; 6 great-grandchildren; niece, Suzanne Noblett; and nephews, Steve and Chris Noblett.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Sue in 2022; and brothers, Carlos and Clarence Noblett.
Bill graduated from Union University where he was the president of his fraternity and where he played four years of baseball. After college he was recruited and signed by the St. Louis Cardinals. Following that Bill served in the U.S. Army for two years. Throughout his entire life he served the Lord and being His servant was his focus that guided him.
Bill was in marketing and sales all of his life and was co-owner with his brother of Lockyear Business College. Bill volunteered at St. Vincent's for over fifteen years and was honored as Volunteer of the Year. He was a charter and very active member at Gateway Baptist Church, where he served as a teacher, deacon, and greeter. Later in life Bill worked as a receptionist and greeter for Ziemer Funeral Home.
The family expresses great appreciation to the staff at Primrose Retirement Community, Heart to Heart Hospice, Joe Amos, NP and his staff and Dr. Enlow and his office for their excellent and compassionate care.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Visitation will continue Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Gateway Baptist Church, 7564 SR - 66 W, Newburgh. A Celebration of Life will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church with Pastor Gabe Hatch officiating. Celebration of Life will be livestreamed and can be accessed fifteen minutes prior to service time on Bill's tribute page at www.ziemerfuneralhome.com.
Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery.
