William "Bill" Osbourne, age 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on December 3rd, 2024. He was born in Washington County, Kentucky on September 23rd, 1933, to the late Albert "Bill" and Myrtle Osbourne.
Bill is survived by his four children, Mike (Denise) Osbourne, Alan (Kathy) Osbourne, Rhonda (David) Hester and Gary (Kim) Osbourne; two stepchildren, Renee (Gene) McMackin and Kerry (Rita) Smith. Bill was known as "Gramps" to 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, whom he lovingly referred to as his "rugrats."
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Kay Lee Osbourne; stepson, William Lee Smith; and sisters, Pat McCawley and Kate Ray.
Bill served in the US Army from 1954 to 1956 and retired from Ford Motor Company in 1988. He enjoyed 36 years of retirement. He will be remembered for his deep love of family, his love of the outdoors, his stories, pranks and jokes.
Visitation will be 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 10th, at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road. His funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 11th, at the funeral home; burial will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
