Born in Union, he was the son of the late John Robert "Bob" Osment and Kathleen Fowler Osment and was retired from textiles.
Surviving Mr. Osment are a daughter, Crystal Griffin Bean (Darrell); a son, John Winford Osment; eight grandchildren: Hayden Griffin, Sieth Griffin (Jasmine), Kaitlyn Griffin (Zack), Noah Bridges, Madison Rakestraw, Peyton Osment, Paisley Osment, and Isabella Bean; one great-granddaughter, Caroline Patterson; two brothers, Gary Osment and David Osment (Dottie); and a neighbor/caretaker, Katie Henderson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Osment, and a sister, Janie Burkeholder.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, from 4:00 - 5:00pm at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney. A memorial service will follow at 5:00pm in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Rev. Tim Osment officiating.
The family will be at their respective homes.
The Gaffney location of Gordon Mortuary is serving the Osment family.
