William (Billy) Fairell Partain Jr., 74, of Tifton, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home.
At the request of the family, there will be no services held at this time. Family and friends, along with Traditions Hospice, have spent the last week with Billy in his home celebrating and visiting with him in his final moments.
Billy was born on August 24, 1949 to the late Fairell (Bill) Partain and Bertha Mae Hall Partain. His life’s work was spent in the sawmill and heavy equipment industry. These were his true passions.
Billy is survived by his loving wife of fifty five years, Marilyn W. Smith Partain; one son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Gena Partain of Tifton, GA; one daughter and son-in-law, Angel and Chris Watts of Lenox, GA; two sisters, Linda Langley of Tifton, GA, Margie (Frank Sullivan) Partain of Salem, AL; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Tammy Partain; two granddaughters, Mystry and Chelsie; several great grandchildren, Journie and Raiden Pritchard of Turner, CO., Brandon and Kelly Nance, Jordan and Cody Nance; several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as extended family members.
