William "Bill" Pate

William "Bill" L. Pate passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025 at 77 years old. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved helping others. Bill was a respected member of the Pipefitters Local 502. One of his greatest joys was family vacations. Bill had an uncanny way to reach people in a deep and positive way and he will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. His beautiful smile will forever be remembered.
Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory beloved wife, Cheryl of 58 years; sons: Sean (Elizabeth) and Scott (Tara); five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, brothers: Tom, Larry, and Eddie Pate; sister: Mary Jo Searcy, and countless family and friends.
A special "thank you" to all the neighbors during this difficult time.
A celebration of life in remembrance of Bill will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Ratterman Brothers, East Louisville (12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243) from 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
