William Pech Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 22, 2024.
Bill was born in Cleveland, Ohio on 8/1/1932 to John & Margaret Ross Pech. A veteran of the Korean War, Bill served as a First Lieutenant in the US Marine Corps. After his service he graduated from Kent State University where he met his beloved wife of 68 years, Evelyn Arsulic Pech. His career in sales & sales management brought he & Evelyn to Atlanta in 1964 where they raised 3 children. Before retiring he owned a corporate recruiting firm for 12 years. Bill was always learning. Once retired, he took classes, learned Spanish & served on an adult enrichment education board. He volunteered at Dekalb General Hospital emergency room for over 20 years & at the Georgia Aquarium for 10 years. Bill played golf most of his life & was a member of the Berkley Hills Country Club. Bill loved to laugh and tell jokes, keeping punch lines in his wallet. He and Evelyn loved to travel the world, had an active social life and enjoyed annual trips to the gulf coast beaches with his sister Peggy. He & Evelyn especially got into the spirit of every holiday and a special memory is that he looked forward to carving pumpkins in the fall with all the kids. Bill was always a positive person and could be counted on to see the bright side in a situation. He was kind and complimentary of others. Bill passed peacefully from this earth on 9/18/2024. He was a wonderful father, grandfather & great-grandfather and will be missed. Preceeded in death by his parents and wife. Survived by daughter Janet (Cla) Allgood; son John (Virginia Lofgren)Pech; son Robert(Susan)Pech; grandson Ryan Pech; granddaughter Hailey(Tyler)Normandia; great-granddaughter Daphne Normandia; brother Robert Pech; sister Peggy(Bob) Johnson; and many special nieces, nephews and their children. The family would like to give thanks to special caregiver & his friend, Brenda Anderson.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

What a great man. Thankful we were able to know him. So happy that Janet married Cla, so not only did she join our family but we also claimed Bill & Evelyn. Easy to see how much they loved their family. We loved them. Prayers of comfort for you all. He will be greatly missed.
