Mother
One who loves unconditionally,
Best friend, superwoman, heart healer.
Maker and keeper of life-long memories.
Loving, caring, and devoted.
One deeply loved and admired.
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn (Evie) Mae Pech on February 23, 2025. She was born on November 1, 1939 to Blanche and John Bagnoski in Necedah, WI. Evie enjoyed and excelled in school. She participated in everything that was available to her. Even though girls' sports were not yet offered, she took every opportunity to show her athleticism, from cheerleading to recess games to softball. She also helped support her family by working as a waitress. Evie graduated from Necedah High School in 1957. After graduation she worked at PreWay. Evie married her high school sweetheart, the love of her life, Donald Pech on September 3, 1960. They dedicated their lives to their three children. Only after their daughters were adults did Evie combine her love of cooking with her love of people. A dream came true when she bought Evie's Cafe.
Evie also had a passion for travel, taking trips to visit family in Fresno, embarking on a cruise, and even exploring Japan. She embraced new experiences and meeting new friends. She found great joy in spending time "up north" at the family cabin, where memories were created with loved ones around the campfire and while fishing on the lake.
A dedicated sports enthusiast, Evie not only played softball but also took immense pride in cheering on her children and grandchildren in their athletic pursuits. Her unwavering support and enthusiasm were felt from the stands and beyond. Performances, concerts, plays, science fairs, art exhibitions were all attended with enthusiasm, leaving a lasting legacy of encouragement and love.
