Lorraine Abbott

Lorraine A. Abbott, age 98, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Friday, October 10, 2025.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at the Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church. Rev. Beth Rohn-Habhegger will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at a later date at Hancock Cemetery.
Lorraine was born March 2, 1927 in Rudolph to John and Ruth (Anderson) Johnson, the oldest of eight children. She graduated from Lincoln High School and the Milwaukee School of Beauty Culture.
Lorraine married Norman "Bud" Abbott on June 21, 1958 at the Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church. They lived in Saratoga for six years and then farmed in Vesper until retirement. After retiring from farming, they moved to Wisconsin Rapids where Lorraine worked at K-Mart and also did seasonal work at a cranberry marsh.
Lorraine was a lifelong member of the Moravian Church, the women's fellowship group, and bible study. She enjoyed playing dominos, cards, puzzles and reading.
Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Lori (Mike) Mischnick, granddaughter Caitylyn (Jordan) Forbes and three great-grandchildren; sons: William Abbott, David (Lisa) Abbott, Kurt Abbott, Jeffrey Abbott, and Korey Abbott; brother, Ronald (Jackie) Johnson; sisters: Delores Reffner, Jean Grimm, and Arlene (Greg) Martin; and sister-in-law, Janet Abbott. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman "Bud"; brother, Stanley (Mary) Johnson; sisters: Marilyn (Richard) Maeder and Helen (Lyle) Kussman; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Eldon Grimm, Tom Reffner, Jim Abbott, Dean Abbott, Glenn (Marie) Abbott, Dale (Frances) Abbott, Jeanette (Robert) Hughes and George (Bonnie) Gear.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Morris Camp and Conference Center or the Wisconsin Rapids Moravian Church.
