William Lee Peek, known affectionately to all as WILLIAM, passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 56, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 10, 1969, in Kansas City, Missouri, to Lois J. Gorage and William E Peek, WILLIAM was a beacon of strength and joy throughout his life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.
WILLIAM's early years in Kansas City were filled with the love and laughter of a bustling household. As the youngest of four siblings, he quickly assumed the role of a protective and caring brother. WILLIAM's passion for life was evident from his youth, as he excelled in his studies at Park Hill High School and later honed his culinary skills at Platte County Vocational Technical School. His love for cooking was only matched by his commitment to service, leading him to join the army in 1989, where he proudly served his country.
Upon returning to civilian life, WILLIAM found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He married his Frist Wife Colleen Howard and together they had 1 Son Timothy Cook and one daughter, Alana cook. William had a relationship with Helen Laduke and 1 son Jacob Peek and stepdaughter Jacqueline Married his last Wife Frances Peek had 3 Daughter Ashley Williams, Kaye Williams, Madelynne Williams, William was grandfather to his six grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Throughout his life, WILLIAM remained deeply spiritual, finding solace and strength in his beliefs. He was a man of many interests, with a particular fondness for music and video games. His eclectic taste in music and his sharp gaming skills were sources of entertainment and connection with his children and grandchildren, who fondly remember many spirited gaming sessions and impromptu dance parties.
WILLIAM's legacy is one of love, resilience, and kindness. He will be remembered for his infectious smile, his hearty laugh, and his unwavering positivity, even in the face of life's greatest challenges. As he reunites with his farther and oldest sister in eternal peace, WILLIAM leaves behind a family who adores him: his wife Frances, his mother Lois, his two sisters Christy and Shelley, his 7 children, and his 6 grandchildren, all of whom will continue to honor his memory by living life to the fullest, as he always did.
WILLIAM's passing leaves a void in the Kansas City community, where he was both a friend and a mentor to many. His spirit, however, will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him. WILLIAM's journey on earth may have ended, but the story of his love and the warmth of his presence will live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones.
