William “Bill” Phelps, 38, passed away on January 8, 2026, at his home. He was born on May 26, 1987, in Owensboro. Known affectionately in his diaper days as “B-Bop Baby Bill,” he was a child with big dreams and an unmistakable spirit.
Bill grew into a man who loved the open road, whether on a motorcycle or planning the next adventure in an RV, but above all, he cherished time spent with his family. As an adult, Bill found his way to the Lord and made the intentional choice to turn his life around, a transformation that shaped the man he became. He was known for his strong work ethic, his willingness to help anyone in need, and his generous heart.
Bill also shared a special bond with his loyal four-legged companion, Zeus, who was rarely far from his side. His life, though far too short, was marked by growth, love, and a deep care for those around him.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Barbara Conder and uncle, Tony Stinnett.
Bill is survived by his mother, Sharon (Rick) Huff; son, Cameron Burch; brothers, Joe Huff and Jason Huff; stepsister, Dillon Tindle; aunts, Charlotte (Milton) Collins and Vicki Stinnett, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 19, 2026, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Lighthouse Recovery of Owensboro.
