Memorial Gathering of Family and Friends for Mr. William Neil Pope, Jr., 84, of Monroe, LA, will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.
Mr. Pope was born October 22, 1940, and passed away peacefully at his residence on March 6, 2025. He served his country in the Army National Guard. Mr. Pope was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed boating, hunting and fishing. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Neil Pope, Sr and Lucille Mary Kihneman Pope; son, Jeffrey Scott Pope; and former spouse, Linda McFarland Pope.
Survivors include his son, Jason Pope and wife Patti; three grandchildren, Jason Thomas Pope, Presley Kate Turner, Denver Waren and wife Brianna; significant other, Mary Day; one great-grandchild, Harlow Waren; special friends, Melissa Caballero, Georgia Turner, Virgil Brantley, Buddy Hollis, Gene Williams; well as many more.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Louisiana Speech Language Hearing Association.
