William F. Priestner Jr.

William F. Priestner, Jr. passed away peacefully on Friday, June 9th at home after a long illness. Born in Paterson New Jersey, he grew up in Midland Park with his fourteen brothers and sisters, before moving to the house that he built in Wyckoff in 1958. William married the love of his life, Virginia, on November 29, 1964, celebrating 58 years of marriage. He was a long-time member and devout Catholic of St. Elizabeth's Church in Wyckoff. William graduated from St. Luke's High School in Ho-Ho-Kus and was drafted into the Army in 1952, serving in the Korean war until 1954. He graduated from Rutgers in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science.
William was employed at Garden State Farms for 20 years, finishing his career as the Head Custodian at Travel School in Ridgewood, New Jersey. William is survived by his wife Virginia (Portsmore), daughter Marybeth O'Halloran (Micah), sons William F. Felton-Priestner, III (Stephanie) and Kevin Priestner (Jennifer). He had seven grandchildren who were the light of his life: Johannah O'Halloran; Zachary, Ronan and Emerald Felton-Priestner; and Jake, Ben and Cody Priestner. William was the 3rd oldest of 15 children and has many nieces and nephews who will greatly miss their Uncle Billy.
