William "Bill" H. Prosser, 93, Wausau, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Mount View Care Center, Wausau, under the care of Compassus Hospice.
He was born September 12, 1931 in Merrill, WI, son of the late William and Isabelle (Dinsmore) Prosser. On October 14, 1950, he married Betty "Jane" Rhyner at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Pine River, WI. She preceded him in death on July 9, 2016.
For 35 years, Bill worked as a machinist for the former Murray Machine in Wausau. He was a longtime member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, Weston.
Among his favorite pastimes, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time up North at the family cottage. Bill will be forever remembered for his hard work, support and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed.
Survivors include, one daughter, Gail (Dave) Kudronowicz; and one son, Tom (Marlene Engstrom) Prosser.
Besides his parents and wife, Jane, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Duckworth and Ruth Martin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 21, 2025 at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
