William Henry "Billy" Puckett, of South Boston, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, surrounded by family and friends, at the age of 76. He was born in Halifax County on February 21, 1949 to the late Harold and Hallie Martin Puckett. Billy was married to the love of his life, Debbie Cole Puckett, for 48 years.

In his spare time, Billy enjoyed working with his hands, usually creating his own original wood work designs. A dedicated and respected sales representative, Billy spent 38 fulfilling years contributing to and growing with the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Throughout his career, he formed many lasting relationships and earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues. Billy's faith was very important to him and he was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Hyco Road Ruritan Club for over 30 years, where he held various positions over the years.
He is survived by his wife, Debbie; brother, Martin Puckett (Sharon); nephews, Tony Puckett (Beth) and T.J. Puckett (Paige); best friend, John Bell (Barbara); beloved furry companion, Bailey; and so many other special friends and family.
