William Samuel Rainey

William Samuel “Billy” Rainey, 51, of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

 He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Wayne Rainey and Cathy Dudley Rainey, and his brother, Richard Wayne “Head” Rainey. He is survived by his sons, Caden Samuel Rainey, Easton Parker Rainey, and Cooper Richard Rainey, their mother, Amy Reese Rainey, his brother, Donald Wayne Rainey and wife, Rhonda, nephews, Johnathan Richard Rainey, Shawn Jayden Moore, and Jacob Wayne Rainey, nieces Victoria Colleen Rainey, Kayla Maria Willis and Brittany Nicole Rainey, sister-in-law Amy Michelle Bowe, and a cousin, Donald “Bo” Hamilton. There are numerous other friends and family members that impacted his life in many ways. 

Billy was best known for his dedication to his sons. He spent countless years playing softball, bowling, and golfing. He proudly worked alongside his brothers at Rainey Painting. Billy will always be remembered for his larger than life personality.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Williams Funeral Home and Crematory, 410 Windsor Ave. Lawrenceville, VA 23868. In lieu of flowers, an account has been established to benefit his sons. Contributions can be made at any Touchstone Bank location.
