William Michael Randolph, born on February 14, 1944, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, passed away at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, KY on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. He was a coal miner who retired after 30 years of dedicated service at Island Creek Coal Company and Providence #1 Coal Mines. Mr. Randolph served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He enjoyed looking for Indian artifacts and being in the woods and was a gifted woodworker and a craftsman in gun and jewelry repair.
Mike was a 1962 graduate of Dawson Springs High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
He is survived by his wife ~ Linda Catherine Randolph; his daughter ~ Leslie T. Todd; his son ~ Steven M. Randolph; sisters ~ Lizabeth A. Randolph and Connie S. Brown; five grandchildren ~ Patrick A. Todd, Samantha K. Wood, Trinity Randolph, Erica Williams and Vanessa Williams and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Randolph was preceded in death by his parents ~ Harlan W. “Bill” Randolph and Gladys L. Randolph.
Visitation for William Michael Randolph will be on Saturday, December 6, 2025 from 1:00 until the 4:00 funeral hour at Beshear Funeral Home in Dawson Springs, KY. Military Honors will be conducted by the United States Army Honor Guard.
William Michael Randolph was an avid outdoorsman who loved teaching his children about the land and how to regrow it. He was always on the hunt for a good deal at local yard sales and the auction house. He spent many hours cutting firewood with the help of his grandson, Patrick. He and his wife, Linda, spent 60 years together and could be seen most everyday eating lunch at the restaurants in and around Dawson Springs.
Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
