Joyce Ann Randolph

Joyce Ann Randolph, 82, of Lexington went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was born to the late Wilbur Canter and Hazel Edgington Canter on January 8, 1943 in Garrard County, Kentucky. She was a long-time, faithful member of Broadway Baptist Church in Lexington.

Joyce is survived by her two daughters, Danette Lynn (Jim) Land and Suzette (Josh) Stansbury; three grandchildren: Jim and Danette's daughter, Crystal (Jordan) Adams; Josh and Suzette's children, Matthew and MaKenzie Stansbury; two great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Jackson Adams; brother-in-law, Herb McDowell; sister-in-law, Becky Canter; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in passing by her two siblings, Jane McDowell and Jimmy Canter.

Joyce was a Lafayette High School Graduate, Class of 1961. She went on to have a successful career as the church secretary for Broadway Baptist Church. She served the church for 39-and-a-half illustrious years.

Many will remember Joyce as one who participated in sports and events of various kinds. She enjoyed playing softball and attending tractor pulls, and she loved playing cards and rolling dice. One of her favorite activities was having lunch with her dear lady friends, which she enjoyed for more than twenty years. Most of all, she loved her family, and she faithfully read her Bible daily.

Her celebration of life services will be held this Saturday, December 6, 2025 at Broadway Baptist Church, 2500 Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, KY 40503. The visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. The memorial service will occur at 1:00 p.m.
