William Ranieri Obituary

William "Bill" Louis Ranieri, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Virginia Beach on September 16, 2025.

Born in Germany on February 23, 1950, to Anthony Ranieri and Julianne Althammer, Bill lived a life of service, hard work, and passion. After graduating high school, he answered the call of duty and proudly served in the United States Army for three years before continuing his service in the United States Navy for another 17 years. His impressive 20-year military career reflected his dedication to his country and his commitment to excellence.

Following retirement from the military, Bill pursued his lifelong love of cars. He became a Master Mechanic for Mercedes-Benz, where his skill, precision, and joy for working on vehicles shined through every day. His second career was not just a job, it was a perfect reflection of his passion.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Evamaria Ranieri. Left to cherish his memory is his brother, Salvatore Ranieri, and his wife, Carol, along with extended family and friends who will remember him with admiration and love.

Local arrangements are entrusted to Altmeyer Funeral Home in Virginia Beach. A funeral service and burial will be held at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home in Aberdeen, Maryland. Service date and time will be announced once confirmed.
