William Raudebaugh Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fickes Funeral Home on Jan. 14, 2026.
William Roy Raudebaugh passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus

on January 13, 2026. Bill, as most people knew and loved him, was born on

November 17, 1943, to Oly Ray and Mabel Faye (Bowman) Raudebaugh in

Wayne County, Ohio.

Bill graduated from Jeromesville High School in 1963, where he participated in school

plays and played basketball and baseball for the Blue Jays. He was also a four-year

member of the FFA. During his senior year, he met the love of his life, Linda Sue Keets.

Bill and Linda were married on May 25, 1965. Just weeks after their marriage, they moved

to Alaska, where Bill served in the United States Army. Drafted in 1965, he served two years

at Fort Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska. During that time, they shared many adventures

and formed lifelong friendships, including dear friends they later visited often in North Dakota.

Bill worked at the Jeromesville Elevator, Heffelfinger Meats, and the IGA as a meat cutter

before retiring after 26 years from Columbia Gas Transmission. Following retirement, he

returned to Heffelfinger Meats, where he worked part time doing what he enjoyed.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Bill was a faithful member of the Jeromesville

Methodist Church. He was also a past member of the Jeromesville Fire Department, where

he proudly served for 45 years in many different roles, including Fire Chief from 1987 to

1994. Bill was a past member of the Jeromesville Coon Hunters Club, where he enjoyed coon

hunting and raising his hunting dogs. He also enjoyed woodworking, golfing, and camping.

Above all, Bill loved spending time with his family and friends and was known for his great

laughs while sitting around the campfire.

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Sue (Keets) Raudebaugh. Together they raised

three children: David (Tara) Raudebaugh, Daniel (Julie) Raudebaugh, and Missy (Dave)

Eaton. He was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Cody and (Chari) Raudebaugh,

Megan Raudebaugh, Mindy (Brandon) Baughman, Luke Raudebaugh, Ben (Kari)

Raudebaugh, Zach Raudebaugh, Madison Eaton, and Miranda Eaton. He was blessed with

seven great-grandchildren: Nolan, Naomi, Caleb, Aiden, Ryan, Reid, and Ryker William, who

is expected to be born later this year. Bill is also survived by his sister, Ruth Ann (Ted) Paullin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Ray (Jeanine) Raudebaugh; and his

sister, Mary Lou (Norm) Dudte.

Services will be 12:00 PM Saturday January 17, 2026 at the Jeromesville Methodist Church with

Minister Matt Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Jeromesville Cemetery.

Friends may call two hours prior to the service at the church before the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeromesville Methodist Church P.O. Box 116 Jeromesville,

OH 44840 or to the Jeromesville Fire Department Association P.O. Box 102 Jeromesville, OH 44840.
