William Sherrill Reagon fondly known as “Billy” was born on November 9, 1943 to the late Christabel Reagon who had him at an early age in Nashville, Tennessee. He was raised by his grandmother, Viola Reagon, along with his aunts and uncles. Billy professed faith and belief in God at an early age at Gordon Memorial United Methodist Church. He was a life long member. He also attended the public-school systems in Nashville Tennessee.

Billy was a Civil Right Activist. During the time of the Civil Rights Movement, he and two others were responsible for the integration of the swimming pools in Nashville, Tennessee by entering the pool of Centennial Park which led to the permanent closing of the swimming pool.
Billy married Senora Jean Harris and had five daughters. They were married 27 years before divorcing in 1989. Billy loved his family and he enjoyed country music, fishing, hunting, learning about nature, telling jokes, reading and discussing the Bible. He worked as a master welder at IKG Industries for 32 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Aundra Reagon Broadhurst, Billy Jean Reagon, Christine Reagon Gooch, Wendolyn Reagon, and Andreila (Karen) Williams. Brothers-DeAnthony Glenn Nelson, James Wayne (Deborah) Nelson, Rodney Daryl Nelson, Wendell Scott (Vicky) Nelson. Sisters- Deborah L. (Michael) Nelson-Rouse, Patricia E. Nelson, and DeCinda (Jeffrey) Condrey. Aunts- Joy Reagon Leonard and Gloria Reagon Price. A host of grandchildren, great children, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Devoted friends- Lonnie Falls, and Henry Smith.
Proceeded in death, Mother-Christabel Reagon Nelson. Stepfather-James D. Nelson, and Daughter-Shenita Reagon Alexander. Viewing Thursday, October 28, 2021, 1-6 at funeral home. Visitation Friday, October 29, 10-11 with funeral to follow at Gordon Memorial U M Church
