William T. Riley

William Riley Obituary William T. Riley, age 82, of Mauston, WI, died on Thursday June 13, 2024, at his home with his wife by his side. William was born on March 10, 1942, in La Crosse, WI to Albert F. and Esther M. (Faehnel) Riley. William attended the St. James Catholic Grade/Elementary School and graduated from Aquinas High School in 1960 from La Crosse, Wisconsin. He later received his Bachlor of Science Degree from UW La Crosse, and then his Master of Science Degree at UW Madison, WI.
William was united in marriage to Susan K. Meir on July 10, 1971, in La Crosse, WI. William served in the Wisconsin National Guard. William was employed by Mathey Construction of La Crosse, WI, Sears and Roebuck of Minneapolis, MN, and the Arizona Council of Government in Yuma, AZ.
William was a lifelong deer hunter and fisherman in his early years along with duck hunting, His hobbies included Ham Radio Operator, gardening, traveling and camping. He was a member of the American Legion Post 52 of La Crosse; the NRA; the Republican Party (county, state and national), member AARP; the Heritage Foundation; Juneau County Historical Society; and Juneau County Aging & Disabilities Resource Center board member.
William is survived by his wife Susan of Mauston, WI, a brother Michael (Renate) Riley of Cedarburg, WI, nieces: Helen Hilliker, Jade Maze, Holly Tempo, Wanda Block, and Melanie Waggett, nephews: Robin Ritter, Kyle Ritter, Kevin Ritter, Scott Moore, Brian Moore, and Marty Martin. He was preceded in death by sisters: June Riley Martin, Helen Naysmith, Margaret (Peg) Hilliker, Patricia Moore, and Mary Jane Riley.
