William Cecil "Bill" Roberson

MURFREESBORO, NC - William Cecil "Bill" Roberson, age 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Capital Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Born on August 11, 1945, in Plymouth, NC, he was the son of the late Cecil Roberson and Allie Hardison Roberson.
Bill dedicated many years of his working life to the field of mechanical engineering, retiring from Franklin Equipment Company after a long and fulfilling career. Known for his diligent work ethic, Bill earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike.
A man of varied interests, Bill found joy in gardening and yard work, which he lovingly tended to with his late wife, Paulette. He had a unique passion for collecting ducks, including duck prints. Bill also loved the beach and cherished time spent at Topsail Island.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Paulette Roberson, his parents, Cecil and Allie Roberson, and his sister, Dwan Light. He is survived by his treasured daughter, Wendy Corbitt and her husband Brad, of Rolesville, NC, and his cherished grandson, Addison Corbitt. In remembrance of a life well-lived, may Bill rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those who have gone before him and those he left behind.
A gathering of family and friends to honor Bill's life and share memories will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Murfreesboro, NC. The family warmly invites all who knew Bill to join them in remembrance and celebration of his life.
