William Hernan Roberts, born on March 11, 1952, in Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on February 12, 2025, in Winchester, Kentucky, at the age of 72. He succumbed to complications of dementia, leaving behind a legacy of service and fond memories.

Though his family has endured great loss, William's memory is cherished by those who survive him. He leaves behind his four stepchildren: Robert Fitzgerald Turner, Pamela Catharine Turner, Meridyth Neale Harrison (James), and Joseph Kent Turner, who were loved as his own. William is also survived by his two sisters, Sandra Cecelia Spradlin (Bruce) and Cynthia Sue Pontrich (James), along with a niece and several nephews who will miss him dearly.
William graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Master of Science degree in Agriculture. He went on to work at the Agronomy Department of Research at the UK College of Agriculture. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed going on hunting trips with friends. He also served as a volunteer Hunter Safety Education Instructor for the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Throughout his life, William was known for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and deep sense of service. He touched many lives and will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to those he loved. His family, though grieving his passing, will always carry his memory with them in the stories, lessons, and love he so freely gave.
