William Rogers Obituary
He was a successful businessman specializing in sales as a manufacturing representative and owner of Horseshoe Wood, Inc a building materials supplier. He was a longtime member of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas serving on the Finance Committee and as an usher. He had a love of golf and was a longtime member of Brookhaven Country Club where he started a men's Bible study, Brookhaven Bible Study that still exists today. He and his wife, Carol, traveled the country playing top golf courses. He was club champion several times and even made a hole in 1. He loved hunting and enjoyed teaching his grandsons the respect and love of both adventures. God and family were his priorities.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol (Beller) Rogers, one daughter, Laura Underwood (Craig), three grandsons, Kyle Underwood (Sydney), Troy Underwood (Tyler), and Brent Underwood as well as three great grandsons, Mac, Clark and Tripp. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
The family would like to give thanks to Langford Memory Care and their amazing nurses, CNA's, and activity directors (Uzi and Alyssa); Promise Home Care; Kelsey Gay, APRN of Basis Health, Enhabit Home Health therapists and the wonderful Washington Regional Hospice nurses and team
A graveside service will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas on Friday, March 20th at 1:00pm.
In Bill's memory, memorial contributions may be made to Washington Regional Hospice 325 East Longview Street, Fayetteville, AR 72703
