William Gordon Ross, 93, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday January 22, 2024. He was born July 27, 1930 in Glassport and was the son of the late Donald O. and Nina (Wilkes) Ross. He was the loving husband of 47 years to Elaine (Lathrop) Ross. William was an Air Force veteran and a proud member of the VA. He had worked as a Sales Manager for Copperweld Bimetallics in Glassport for over 30 years, he had also worked for Finney Funeral Home, Sun Coach Line and co-owned Sister's Fashions with his wife in White Oak. William had a passion for music and was a choir director at numerous churches including Central Highlands Community United Methodist Church in Elizabeth. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Joan (Patrick) Long; son, David W. (Carmella) Ross; grandchildren, Daniel Long, Dana Long, Jason (Kate) Ross, Ashley (Stephen) Strickler and Brian (Lena) Ross; great-grandchildren, Owen, Brayden, Ethan, Ava, Layla and Gavin Ross, Jack and Delphine Long; great great-grandson, Asher Ross; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Ralph (Marge) Ross and Norm Birch; sister, Katherine (Tom) Tauber. Friends are welcome Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J.
