William Ennalls Roszell III(Will), 84, of Oakland, passed away on September 25, 2025, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. Born on September 17, 1941, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William Ennalls Roszell Jr and Mary O'Donnell Roszell.
Before relocating to Garrett Co. he worked as the youngest Service Manager for Ford Motor Co. Trucking Division. Will proudly owned and operated Garrett Automotive, along with his family, for 52 years. He was a devoted member of Crossroads Church in Deep Creek, actively participating in his community. He served as an EMT with the Bittinger Fire Department and the Southern/Northern EMT Rescue Squad for many years. Additionally, he dedicated years to the National Ski Patrol at the Wisp. Will was a member of the Christian Softball League, known as the "Pitcher" for many years. In his spare time, Will pursued his passion for farming and enjoyed the freedom of flying as a licensed Private Pilot. Will and Sharon were proud winners of the Heise Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years. Sharon Louise(Moore) Roszell, to whom he married on November 5, 1959; his children, William Roszell IV and wife Susanne of Oakland, and Edward Roszell and wife Brenda of Friendsville, and his grandson, Ryan Roszell and wife Macey of Oakland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeff Roszell, and his sisters, Lavina Eades and Doris Wampler.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s's or Deep Creek Volunteer Fire Co.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes, P.A. - Oakland Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11 AM in Crossroads Church with Pastor Dave Marsh officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
