William Rotz Obituary
Born November 6, 1972 in Chambersburg, he was a son of William D. Rotz married to Kimberly of Fort Loudon and Twyla Shoemaker married to Bryan Gaston of Willow Hill. He was a 1991 graduate of Fannett Metal High School and proud of his service in the Army National Guard as an aircraft electrician.
In 1993 he was employed by Food Lion Distribution in Greencastle. He then took a position with the Scotland School for Veteran's Children in 2004. From 2007 through 2016 he was an electrical inspector until taking the position of Assistant Project Coordinator with the Pennsylvania Department of General Services.
Denny was a member of the American Legion Post 606, Fort Loudon along with the Men of the Mountain and the First Frost Hunting Club. He enjoyed hunting, finding peace and camaraderie outdoors and riding his side by side. His greatest joy was spending time with treasured family and friends. Remembered above all as a man whose love for his family was boundless and unwavering.
Surviving with his wife, Stephanie and parents, is his son, William D. "Will" Rotz III of Fort Loudon and daughter, Morgan Hershey and her husband Kenneth Jr. of Spring Run. Also surviving is his sister, Angela Rotz of Chambersburg and his nieces and nephews, Arielle Rose (Billy), Kyler Wood (Allie), Amanda Robinson (Craig), Kristen Eaton (James), Jacob Bershatsky and Isabella Bershatsky. Additional survivors include great nieces and nephews.
Receiving of friends will be Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, beginning at 2 PM followed by military honors and a memorial service at 4 PM in the Agett-Lakjer Funeral Home, 16715 Path Valley Road, Spring Run, PA with Pastor Matthew Gordon, officiating.

To the family, I can't imagine the pain that you are feeling right now. Ever since I moved to the area, Denny always greeted me with a smile on his face. I was always glad to see him. When we didn't see each other for a while, it was always, "How you been ol' boy?" I'll miss his jokes and funny sayings, but it's nothing like the loss that I know the family is feeling.
