William (Bill) A. Rowe, 89, of Elmwood Park, formerly of Little Ferry, passed away on October 25, 2022 with family by his side. Bill graduated from Rutgers University in Newark in 1955, and then served his country in the U.S. Army for two years. After his military service he worked for 32 years as a Corporate Travel Manager for Union Carbide Corp. in Danbury, CT. Bill was very active coaching his children in youth sports and was a parishioner of St. Anne's R.C. Church in Fair Lawn. Bill loved trains and traveled the country on trains in retirement with his wife Phyllis. Bill also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren at the Jersey Shore in Wildwood Crest with the highlight being dinner with each family at the Sandcastle Restaurant. Devoted and loving husband for 64 years, survived by his loving wife, Phyllis (nee Poremba). Devoted father of Patrick Rowe and wife Kim, Timothy Rowe and wife Venus, Mary Gilronan and husband James, William Rowe, Jr. and wife Susan, Matthew Rowe, Thomas Rowe and wife Natalie, Christopher Rowe and wife Carol. Loving grandfather of eighteen- Anthony and wife Stephanie Gilronan, Stephanie Gilronan and fiance Dean Bartelucci, Courtney, Christian, Samantha and fiance David Edelman, Tyler and wife Erica, Bryan, Brennan, Emily, Sophia, Marissa, Zachary, Allison, Luke, Abby, Gianna, Evan, Ella and great-grandfather of Grayson.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday November 11, 2022, 4:00-8:00 PM at Di Chiara Funeral Home, 300 Main St., Lodi.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend the funeral beginning at Di Chiara Funeral home on Saturday November 12, 2022, 9:00 AM then to St. Anne's R.C. Church in Fair Lawn for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Saddle Brook.
