William "Billy" Thomas Russo, Jr., age 51, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on June 12, 2025, while at work. He was a long-time resident of Raynham and his sudden passing has devastated all who knew him, but no more than his long time fiance and partner in this life for almost 20 years, Nicole Robbins. Billy spent most of his professional life as a dedicated painter. He ran his own business, "Billy Russo Painting", eventually joining the Painters Union at Boston Paint, where he made long lasting friendships. In 2023, with characteristic courage and determination, Billy made a bold career change-returning to school to earn his Class A CDL, fulfilling a long-held dream. His hard work paid off when he secured a position at Mass Pavement/Gallant Grader Service, a job he truly loved. Known among his coworkers-many of whom became close friends-for his positive attitude and drive to improve, Billy brought energy and enthusiasm to every task. Outside of work, Billy was a man of many passions. When something captured his interest, he embraced it wholeheartedly. He found joy in landscaping his yard including his bonsai and Japanese maple trees and took great pride in his koi pond. He loved motorcycles, weightlifting, taking vacations with Nicky and their friends, and spending time with his dogs Matilda and Phoebe. Together with Nicky, he curated an impressive collection of automobile and sign memorabilia that transformed their garage into a space filled with character and shared memories. Billy's life was marked by resilience, passion, and an unwavering commitment to doing things with heart. Anyone who knew Billy will always remember his famous catchphrase "Very Nice". In addition to Nicole and their beloved dogs, who were his family, he leaves behind more cherished friends than one can count, and his loss will, no doubt, leave an immeasurable void in their lives. He also leaves behind his honorary in-laws, Brian and Flo Robbins, two sisters-in-law and their respective families and nieces and nephews who will sorely miss their "Uncle Billy". He is also survived by his grieving father, Bill Russo, Sr., his late mother, Susan Giles Russo, and his brother and sisters. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him. A Memorial Gathering will be held on June 24, 2025, from 05:00 PM to 07:00 PM at O'Keefe-Wade Funeral Home 70 Washington St
