William C. "Wild Bill" Rutledge, 88, of Cleveland, Tennessee passed away on Monday July, 7, 2025. Bill was born on March 15, 1937 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Dave and Irene Rutledge. Bill enjoyed trading, spending time with his friends at Hardees, and telling stories.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Rutledge; sisters, June Swafford, Joyce Todd, Betsy Burnette, Brenda Williams, and Barbara Ellis; and his brother, Danny Rutledge.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son Keith (Crystal) Rutledge; grandchildren, Whitney (Blake) Brewer; great grandchildren, Hayden Thompson; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at 4:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home the Cleveland Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Ramsey Cemetery.
