William "Bill" Sabia, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 19, 2025. Born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut, Bill built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. He and his beloved wife of 65 years, Carole, shared an extraordinary bond - a partnership marked by devotion, humor, and countless cherished memories.

Together, Bill and Carole made their home in Stamford, Trumbull, and Old Saybrook, Connecticut, and later in Naples, Florida. They loved traveling the world, exploring new places, and meeting new people along the way. No matter where they went, Bill's warmth and wit drew people to him.

Bill was a proud and loving father to William Sabia III, Karen Sabia, and Robert Sabia, and a devoted grandfather to Allyson, Danielle, and Robert Jr. His family was his greatest joy, and he loved nothing more than spending time together - whether gathered around the dinner table, watching a game, or sharing stories that always brought laughter.

Those who knew Bill will remember his kind heart, his generous spirit, and his sharp mind. He had a gift for conversation and an endless curiosity about the world around him. Bill was always up to date on current events and sports - especially his beloved New York Yankees and the UConn women's basketball team.

Professionally, Bill built a respected career as a Senior Vice President at Swiss Reassurance, where his intelligence, integrity, and leadership left a lasting mark. But beyond his professional success, it was Bill's character that defined him - his quiet strength, his humor, and his ability to make everyone feel valued and heard.

Bill came from a large and loving family and had a special relationship with his brothers and sisters as well as his many nieces and nephews, who admired his wisdom and his dry, delightful sense of humor.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and his memory will continue to inspire kindness, curiosity, and love in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
