Catherine Sabia

Catherine Spann Sabia, 42, passed away unexpectedly on Monday April 28, 2025 at her home in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. She was born on May 24, 1982 in Conway, South Carolina.
Catherine was a true "Creek-Rat." She loved to be on the Inlet boating, crabbing, fishing, or throwing a cast net. She also enjoyed gardening and bird watching. In her quiet time, Catherine relished time spent cooking for her family and reading. Above all else, Catherine loved her family and her 'fur-babies,' with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her bright smile, outgoing personality and the love she had for her family.
Left to cherish Catherine's memory are her adoring husband, Michael Sabia of Murrells Inlet; her loving father, Mr. Samuel Robert Spann, Jr. (Babs Thomas); step-son, Justin Sabia (Morgan) of Simpsonville, SC; step-daughters, Kate and Madi Evans of Murrells Inlet; brother, Samuel Robert Spann, III (Sandy) of Washington State; nephew, Samuel Robert Spann IV of Greer, SC; a large, loving, extended family; many cousins, aunts, uncles and an army of friends.
Catherine is reunited in passing with her mother, Page Daughtery Spann.
A Celebration of Catherine's life will be held on Thursday May 1, 2025 at 11:00AM at Belin Memorial United Methodist Church, 4182 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. The family will gather to greet friends immediately following the service, in the Belin UMC Family Life Center.
