Cremation Society of New Hampshire - BoscawenWilliam Frank Sargent passed away on February 4, 2026, at Cottage Hospital in North Haverhill, NH. William was born in Concord, NH on November 28, 1942, to the late Harrison and Mona (Porter) Sargent.
William went to elementary school in Canterbury, NH and graduated from Penacook High School in 1960. After high school William enlisted in the United States Airforce whereupon he honorably served his four years. On November 19, 1968, William married Lucy (Eldridge) Sargent in Boscawen, NH.
William held many jobs over years woodsman; oil worker; general contractor and USPS mail carrier. He was also a devoted member of the Church of Christ since 1980.
When away from work, William enjoyed everything that was outdoors, he loved working in his garden, traveling, visiting Nova Scotia, the birthplace of his mother, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, William was predeceased by his three brothers: Harry, Richard, and Leroy, his sister Elsie and one grandson Jayson Nelson.
William is survived and will be missed by his wife Lucy Sargent of 57 years, his five children: Deann Scott, Robert Sargent, Jennifer Nelson, William Sargent ll, and Summer Jones, his sister June Gilbert, 9 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren Funeral service will be held @ 3pm Friday Feb 27, 2026 at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen NH with Randy Gardner officiating. Celebration of life will be held immediately following at the Church of Christ on Fisherville Rd in Penacook NH.
