William ("Bill") Francis Scheidt, known to many as a devoted father, skilled farrier, talented
artist, and an individual who loved to tell stories, passed away on November 6, 2024, at the age

painter and participated in numerous shows and galleries throughout Texas and the southwest
United States. His subject matter included cowboys, Native Americans, nature, and wildlife. He
taught painting lessons from his Boerne studio for many years. Bill was also an active member
of the community at St. Peter's Catholic Church, including the Men's Club, and enjoyed cooking
brisket for annual church festivals. His legacy will live on not only in his family, but also through
the hearts of individuals throughout the community.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William and Annie Scheidt; his siblings, Dennis Scheidt
and Judy Scheidt Paige; and his lovely wife Dorothy Marie (Boyle) Scheidt. Bill and Dorothy

We were on an ACTS Retreat Team together. During one of our first meetings we were trying to come up with our theme and banner. While we were talking I thought he was taking notes. Then he tore off the sheet he was sketching and asked like that... and then he walk to look out the window. I was speechless an in awe as if I was face to face with Christ. Once I was composed, I joined him and told him it was, it was perfect. He said it was just a quick pencil sketch and he´d work on it. I told him it was perfect as it captured the light perfectly. I told him he truly capture the light of Christ and gave him a big hug. When I shared it with the rest of the Team they agreed and it was unanimous it would be our simple banner. Bill´s artist abilities and living examples help many others also to find the light of Christ. May God grant him eternal rest and light perpetual shine upon his soul. He made a difference!
