William "Bill" K. Schoonover of Doylestown, PA died peacefully at Doylestown Hospital on Thursday, November 13, 2025. He was 84.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Roneva "Ronnie" Wilson Mills who also passed away recently.

Born in Washington, D.C. he was a son of the late Tedford E. and Katherine Karr Schoonover.

Bill will be remembered for his kind, easygoing nature and great sense of humor. He spent most of his formative years in Ridgewood and Seaside Heights, NJ, graduating from Ridgewood High School in 1959. He attended Grove City College for several years before spending time in the merchant marines and eventually enlisting in the US Army. He was honorably discharged with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

After marrying Robin Hill, they spent time in NJ, and Buffalo, NY before relocating to Colorado Springs, CO where they raised two sons, Jeffrey (Aurora, CO) and Justin (Macungie, PA married to Michelle). He is also survived by two adoring grandchildren Alexis and Ethan.

After relocating to Southeastern, PA he married Ronnie in 2004, and became close with her family, including sons Mike (married to Ayres) and Mark (married to Rajasi) and her 6 grand-children.

Services and interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
