William “Bill” Raydean Sheldon, Sr, 70, of Lake City, Florida, moved on to his heavenly home on November 14, 2025. Bill was born on November 12, 1955 to Bobby Sheldon, Sr and Betty Fussnecker Sheldon in Cincinnati, Ohio. Bill retired from his general contracting business after 50 years. He worked in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area and then continued his business once moving to Lake City, Florida, working in Lake City, as well as surrounding areas. Bill had a special love for music, often playing the guitar and singing for his family and friends. His favorite songs were “Go Rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill and “Lead Me Home” by Jamey Johnson. Bill will be dearly missed and will forever be loved by all his family and friends. Bill is preceded in death by his father Bobby Sheldon, Sr., his mother Betty Fussnecker Sheldon, brother Ed Sheldon, sister Barbara Allen, nephew Ed Sheldon Jr, great-niece Mariah Lacey Reid, sisters-in-law Sherry Paek and Shelia Rector, cousin Jamie Burk, and extended family member Stephen DiPatri. Bill is survived by his loving and cherished wife of 51 years Carolyn Sheldon, son William Sheldon, Jr (Nicole), daughter Tina Sheldon (Tyler), all of Lake City, FL; six grandchildren William “Trey” Sheldon III (Kaitlyn), Makinsey Sheldon (Stephen Angeles) of Ocala, FL, Jacob Sheldon, Aiyana Sheldon, Delilah Sheldon, Little Willie Sheldon; and two great-granddaughters Hallie Angeles and Izzy. He is also survived by his brothers Bobby Sheldon, Jr (Robbyn), Joe Sheldon (Donna), and Ray Sheldon, all of Lake City; his sisters Tammy Lacey (John) of New Hartford, NY, and BJ “Baby Sis” Register (Bruce) of Lake City; as well as a host of nieces and nephews who dearly love their Uncle Bill.
The family has opted not to have a service at this time but will have a Celebration of Life with Bill’s closest friends and family in the near future. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mariah Lacey Reid Foundation via their website: https://www.mariahlaceyreidfoundation.org/
