William R. Shemeth Jr., 82 of Spencer passed away suddenly on Friday, February 2, 2024. He was a devoted husband to Carol T. (Radzinski) Shemeth. Loving Father of William R. Shemeth III, Jody L. Shemeth, Matthew J. Shemeth and his wife Regina, Carrie A. Ferreira and
her husband Jason, he was predeceased by infant daughter Holly A. Shemeth. He was a proud Papa to Matthew Shemeth, Elizabeth Shemeth, Johnathon Ferreira, James Ferreira, and Jordan Ferreira. Brother to Peter Shemeth and his wife Nancy, Predeceased by his parents William R
Shemeth Sr., Marion Shemeth Fotiades, and sister Alice Welch. He left several Nieces, Nephews and their children. Bill enjoyed a long retirement from the Local IBEW 96 where he was an electrician specializing in trouble shooting. In retirement he took great pride in watching his grandchildren
within their many different activities. During Christmas and Halloween, he spectacularly decorated his house and enjoyed seeing all the townspeople in awe of his extensive display. Bill love to travel with his family seeing the country from coast-to-coast multiple times.
When he was not traveling or at his grandchildren's activities you could always find him in his gardens or enjoying his yard from his patio. In his younger years he served in the Army and the National Guard from May 1960 to May 1966. He also served on the local youth commission and
Democratic town committee. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. In accordance with his wishes there will be no public services. The family will be having a private celebration of life at a later date.
