William John Shepard "Bill", 43, of Mingo Jct., OH passed away on January 17, 2025 at WVU Ruby Memorial. He was born on September 14, 1981 to the late John and Rosalie (Shepherd) Shepard. Bill graduated from Mingo High School and JVS 2001. He is also preceded in death by his wife Sue Ellen (Ware) Shepard, fur baby Emily, brother Raymond "Bub" Shepard. He is survived by brother Lonnie (Laurie) Shepard of Mingo Jct., sisters in law Dawn Shepard of Weirton, Amanda (Dave) Miller of Morristown, nieces and nephews Ashley (George) Huber, Caleb (Jessica) Bethany, Shelby and Jessie Shepard, Alexia, Kris, Cole, and Jordin Miller, great niece and nephews Casen, Callie, Declan, and Axl Shepard, Kendall and Kendra Huber, Jarred Miller, Best friend Gary Riggs and his family, and his companion Sunny Curtis.
Bill wanted to be a truck driver his whole life. He was proud to say that he "has been to all of the lower 48". He loved talking about his trucking adventures and could give directions to any where you wanted to go. He made friends wherever he went.
As much as Bill loved the road, he loved his family more. He was at every family function and never missed a holiday. His nieces, and nephews knew they could call him at any hour and he would answer. Although he was a victim of Murphy's Law, Bill could find the humor in any situation. Bill did everything in his own time, he never rushed. He was a big kid with a bigger heart that never truly healed when he lost his beloved Sue. His friends will forever tell stories about his misadventures and will reach for the phone to call him just as often as his family will. He was a big part of our lives and the void will be felt by us all. Roll on driver, Roll on. There will be no services at this time.
Schuetz Funeral Home is assisting the family.
