William “Bill” Vincent Shevock, 81, of Odenton passed away at Mercy Medical Center on December 2nd, 2023. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to the late Adam and Bertha Shevock. He earned a degree in education and mathematics from Duquesne University. Bill worked as an engineer for Bethlehem Steel, retiring after 40 years of service. He spent many years coaching girls softball, was a mentor to many, served as building president of his condominium community, and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid sports fan enjoying the Ravens, Orioles, Maryland Terps, and his beloved Penn State.
Bill is survived by his devoted wife, Sue Ann Shevock; loving daughters, Amy Elizabeth Starr and Holly Ann Prentice, and son-in-law P.J. Prentice; cherished grandchildren Cheyenne Starr and Nikolai, A.J., and Alayna Sloniewsky; and his dear siblings Betty Spoharski and Thomas Shevock. He was preceded in death by brother Robert Shevock.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral and Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Ave. S.W. (at Crain Hwy) on Saturday, December 9th, from 10 – 11 AM. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
