William Joseph Simonovich, 90, of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at his residence. He was born February 14, 1933, in Kingston, Pennsylvania, son of the late Michael Simonovich and Helen Yanashonis Simonovich.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joan Simonovich; as well as two sisters, Betty Ann Benson, and Frances Barry.
He is survived by four sons, Michael John Simonovich of Marietta, GA, William J. Simonovich and his wife, Kathy of Stroudsburg, PA, Brian Simonovich and his wife, Denise of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Mark Simonovich and wife, Bethani of Cincinnati, OH; two daughters, Laura Shirley of Chapin, SC and Patricia Maynard of Columbia, SC; seventeen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
William was a HUGE USC Gamecocks fan! He also enjoyed cheering on the NY Yankees and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church for over thirty-three years and proudly served in the United States Army.
A funeral mass in honor of William's life will be held 10:00am Saturday, February 10, 2024, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 542 Cypress Avenue, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium with military honors.
The family has requested that memorial donations be made in William's name to the St. Michael Catholic Church.
