William Andrew "Andy" Simpson

William Andrew "Andy" Simpson 54, of Pocahontas, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born in Jonesboro on August 2, 1969 to William Stanley Simpson and Cecilia Ball Simpson.
Andy was a graduate of Pocahontas High School and Arkansas State University where he earned his Ed.S in Mental Health Counseling. During his career he worked in a number of fields including law enforcement, marketing, and mental health where he influenced the lives of many people through his counseling. He also volunteered his time to Alcoholics Anonymous where he was able to assist many lives.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Reverend Darrell Payne Ball and Helen McClure Ball, as well as his paternal grandparents George Reese Simpson and Pauline Dent Simpson-Justus.
Andy is survived by his parents, William Stanley and Cecilia Ball Simpson; brother, Patrick Timothy Simpson; nephew, Patrick Mackenzie Simpson and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Cremation has been chosen as the final disposition.
There will be a memorial visitation held at 1:00 p.m. August 19, 2023 at the First Free Will Baptist Church. A memorial service will begin at 2:00 p.m.
