William Skipwith Obituary
William Austin (Bill) Skipwith, 83, widower of Helen Robinson Skipwith, died April 29, 2025 at Henrico Doctors Hospital in Richmond.
Bill was the son of Harrison Minge and Louise Skipwith, and was a graduate of Bluestone High School. He was a dedicated Deacon, member of the Gideon's and worked with Helen in DivorceCare and GriefShare programs helping people deal with difficult times.
Surviving Mr. Skipwith are daughter, Sandy Van Horn; sons, Randy and Ary Skipwith; step-daughter,Teresa and Michael Kalson; and step-son, Tim and Kara Gallimore. Also surviving are brother and sister-in-law, Harrison and Janice Skipwith of Crewe; grandchildren, Austin and Carter Van Horn, Jack and Ashlyn Kroner, Andrew, Brandon and Paige Gallimore, Eddie and Phetsada Mounnarath; and many devoted relatives and friends.
His Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Coastal Church-Bethany Campus on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to The Gideon's International or the American Red Cross.

Bill Skipwith for sure was a Brother In Christ. I knew Bill many years from Signet Bank back in the day. We shared in a carpool for quite a few years. Bill had a yellow Chevrolet Chevette. The four of us did not ride the vehicle to work. It was so small we felt like we were wearing it. LOL! I last saw Bill at my brother's going Home service. Prior to that was at my wife's memorial service. Bill and his daughter, Sandy, visited that night. Sandy, if you can, please contact me. i would love to share some of the stories and memories of your wonderful daddy. I have a health problem and will not be able to attend his memorial service this afternoon. May the peace that passes ALL understanding be with the Skipwith Family today and in the days to come.
