William Skold Obituary

William A. Skold, 66, of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away on October 27, 2025, in Dover, Delaware. Born in East Brunswick, New Jersey, William was a man of dedication, love, and service.

A committed public servant, William proudly served in the U.S. Navy until his retirement as a Chief. Following his military career, he worked as an electrician supervisor at BAE Systems, where his diligence and leadership were greatly respected.

William had a way for life and a heart full of kindness. A devoted football fan, he cheered on the Pittsburgh Steelers with unmatched enthusiasm. He was a huge animal lover, caring deeply for his five cats and one dog, and an avid gardener, nurturing the beauty of his front and back yards with love and attention through every season.

Family was at the center of William's life. He was a devoted husband to his wife of 24 years, Irina, and a loving father to his children, Jess and Maks. He provided for his family in every way he could, surrounding them, and everyone he met with positivity and good energy. William was known for his kindness, never speaking ill of others and living a life free from harm to people or creatures alike.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Nancy Skold. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Irina, and their children, Jess and Maks, who will carry forward his legacy of love, generosity, and joy.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 23rd from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Altmeyer Funeral Home. His burial with military honors will be held November 25th at 10:00 a.m. at Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.

William's life was a testament to service, love, and unwavering positivity-a presence that will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
