William David Smith, “Bill,” 77 of Dunnellon, Florida, passed away on December 11, 2025, peacefully at his home. Born to Phyllis and William Smith, Bill attended Dunedin High School. Bill was an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman, who lived his life connected to the woods and waters of old Florida. Bill was preceded in death by his father William and his mother Phyllis. Bill is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Jan, his brother Robert, sisters in law Debra Teigman-Green and Karen Simon, brothers in law Ivey Green and Miles Simon, nephew Steven Critelli and his Wife Christina and their children, Sebastian and Isabel. A military service will be held at 10:30am, Friday, December 19, 2025, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida Jan wishes to express her gratitude to Empath Hospice of Marion County for their compassionate care and deepest appreciation to Roberts Funeral Home of Dunnellon for handling cremation and service arrangements.
