William "Doyle" Snyder, Sr. passed away on August 25, 2024, at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. He was born on November 19, 1951, to Louise Brooks Snyder and the late George Snyder and was a lifelong resident of Haywood County. In addition to his father, Doyle is preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Snyder, and one brother-in-law, Dean West.
Doyle was a true mountain man and cherished time spent outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and could often be found pursuing these passions in the beautiful mountains he called home. Doyle devoted many years to Pike Electric before he retired. He is survived by two sons, William Doyle Snyder, Jr. and his wife, Linda, and Dakota Snyder; a daughter, Kelli Riddle and her husband, Todd; his mother, Louise Brooks Snyder; one brother, David Snyder; four sisters, June Snyder, Mary Ellen West, Anita Blaylock and her husband, Tim, and Kaye Snyder; four grandchildren, Sierra Snyder and her husband Marcos, Spencer Bradley and his wife, Halle, Charlee Riddle, and Finlee Riddle; two great-grandchildren, Camilla and Mateo; and numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins that he loved dearly.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Four Seasons Hospice for the wonderful care they provided over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons' The Elizabeth House at 211 N. Main Street, Hendersonville, NC 28792
