Mr. William Keith Spencer, age 70 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023, at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Louise Hamrick Spencer of the home, three children, Kim Payne (Tim) of Alexis, NC, Shanna Seaman (Stewart) of Cherryville, NC, and Lynette Harwood (Garrett) of Mt. Holly, NC, five grandchildren, Josh Payne, Kylie Payne, Kyndall Call, Haley Lockridge (Anthony), and Jordan Harwood, three great grandchildren, Crosby Payne, Emma Payne, and Natalie Lockridge, three siblings, Randy Spencer (Jerri) of Grover, NC, Barbara Hardin of Kings Mountain, NC, and Frank Spencer Jr. (Karen) of Dallas, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born November 28, 1952, in Lincoln County, NC, Keith was the son of the late Frank Spencer Sr. and Nancy Dellinger Spencer, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Patsy Spencer.
Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and attended Poplar Springs Baptist Church with his wife Louise. Keith was always there for his family no matter what he had going on. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Aaron Hinton. A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28152.
